Goals / Objectives:
- Shock test the Viega ProPress fitting to determine if this is a suitable lead free fitting for Potable Water Systems in combatant ships.
- Attempt to find upper limit of size for Viega MegaPress Copper Nickel fittings that can pass the Shock Test.
- Implement, as much as funding will allow, ASTM F1387 Vibration test, Fire Test, Impulse Test, Flexure Fatigue Test and Tensile Test on Viega MegaPress Copper Nickel fittings.
- Evaluate the Tensile Test requirements with regard to whether the fittings replaced by the MAFs can pass the test.
