Objective:
The MCI Wear Surface Evaluation & Qualification Project goal is to develop an alternate electric grade deck covering that reduces cost & weight, and improves quality & availability over the current deck coverings utilized in electronic spaces onboard Navy ships.
Summary:
The IPT will work to the requirements of the new MIL-PRF-32664 (Performance Specification – Deck Panels, False, Composite) to compile test data showing the MCI wear surface will meet the specification requirements. The IPT will provide the compiled data of this project to NAVSEA as Objective Quality Evidence that the material meet environmental requirements for shipboard use on Navy platforms.
Key Deliverables / Benefits:
This project will be presented at ShipTech, NSRP Panel Meetings, and will present the results from the project within a Final Report.
