Objective:

This project aims to automate the qualification maintenance process for welders per the relevant weld process. The project will leverage existing weld information from the detailed design model and couple it with qualification tracking of welders during the execution of their normal job duties. By tracking and verifying that individual welders performed the appropriate weld process in the normal course of their duties, the shipyard can mitigate the costs associated with performing renewal testing outside of the normal work scope. This will allow the shipyard to maintain weld qualifications through the welder’s work saving time, money, and materials in conducting off-line tests.
