Objective:
To increase the knowledge base and proficiency with suppliers who are providing products in support of the Naval welding industrial base, a training program is to be developed. Once this training information is developed, the American Welding Society will be engaged to refine the materials so that it can be delivered nationwide as part of the AWS education, training and certification programs.
Summary:
The development will begin by collaborating with the Team Members (prime contractors and NAVSEA Carderock) to collect and compile the best training materials that have been developed in house for the applicable NAVSEA publications. This training will be formatted and vetted so that it complies with NAVSEA Distribution A regulations and can be provided to all vendor employees that are eligible to receive it.
Once this training is in place and delivered to vendors it will improved the accuracy of the WPS and PQR software and reduce the issues and delays with the hardware at the end users receipt inspection.
Key Deliverables / Benefits:
This project will hold a final training presentation/webinar and will present the results from the project within a Final Report.
