Objective:
This project developed standardized procedures to eliminate the waste caused by multiple inspection agencies inspecting the same equipment/material in the shipbuilding/repair supply chain. Standardized Source Inspection and Incoming Inspection checklists were developed with instructions for implementation by key stakeholders: U.S. shipyards, Program Executive Offices, Defense Contract Administration Services, and the American Bureau of Shipping.
