Objective:
The objective of this project was to bridge the gap between two different stages of structural design and leverage the knowledge that has been captured in early stage design for the detail design model, creating significant savings in modeling man-hours. In addition, the flexibility afforded by such an interface allowed improvements to be made to the structural design that would otherwise be avoided because of the time and cost required to re-initialize the detail design model.
