Objective:
The project developed workshop material aimed at providing participants with a better understanding of how to effectively incorporate Design for Production principles in the design and construction of Navy ships. This effort included updating existing presentation materials to include sections on design for affordability, design for life cycle, and production engineering. It also included the development of a second, hands-on workshop exercise focusing on a congested, naval vessel space like an engine room.
