Objective:

The project objective is to learn and share current practices related to shipbuilding apprenticeship and industry workforce development programs.  The project will extract, study, synthesize and share best practices; issues needing further study; and problems needing future resources.  The project team will also identify gaps in current and best practices pointing to additional research.  The participating shipyards and AART will hold an in-person workshop to develop shipbuilding industry policy and practice recommendations that can yield better results. The project will then share the findings and recommendations with the shipbuilding industry and stakeholders.
