Objective:

The goal of this project was to implement the existing Robust Functional Paperless Paint software system by working with SupShips, NAVSEA, RMCs, and first, second, and third tier contractors in their ports, providing the hardware and hands on training. The training was followed by a shipboard pilot program where the legacy (written) system was measured against the Paperless Paint system. The paperless Quality Assurance system has been demonstrated to improve efficiency of surface preparation and coatings QA/QC during shipbuilding and ship repair. NSRP shipyards and their subcontractors are using the system for US Navy new builds and commercial shipbuilding activities.
