Objective:
The overall goal of the project is to use a new additive manufacturing (AM) modality called bound pellet extrusion for the production of CuNi heat exchangers or castings. Efforts will focus on CuNi 70/30 for submarine applications.
Specific objectives related to the work include (i) discovery of an effective feedstock recipe, (ii)
identifying a sintering pathway and process parameters through a combination of thermodynamic modeling and experimentation.
