Objective:
The goals of the project were to further advance motorized gun technology in stud welding, give shipyards a motorized stud gun capable of welding the majority of the studs used in shipbuilding, increase productivity by allowing stud welders to change/validate the weld schedule at the gun, and present customers with a gun that could easily be added to future Nelson drawn arc welding systems.
