Objective:
The goal of this project was to increase the productivity and throughput of shipyard pipe welding using DeepTIG in wire form. The project investigated mechanized and manual welding procedures using DeepTIG filler wire on pipe welding applications selected by the shipyards, demonstrated these procedures at two shipyards, and disseminated project results to the shipbuilding industry.
