Objective:
The main objective of this project was to prepare a set of training aids that will provide a basis for the development of structural engineers and naval architects to undertake the engineering and design of shipyard rigging fixtures and lifts. The body of training documentation developed under this project provides a structured approach to the retention and dissemination of established shipyard best practices in the area of rigging and lifting operations.
