Objective:
This effort reduces costs in design and engineering activities associated with ship construction and repair. The project provides mid-tier yards with an integrated constraint analysis tool to identify areas for correction against Design For Production constraints prior to sending production information to the shipyard. The goal is for the pilot software application to focus on facility constraints for structure and pipe components while leveraging ongoing NSRP projects on DFP for Mid-Tier Shipyards and ShipConstructor Design Tool Enhancement.
