Objective:
This effort created a first-of-its-kind, comprehensive tool that identifies gaps and opportunities for a shipyard to improve their workers’ compensation program. The final product is a guide and checklist which is divided into general workers’ compensation issues, under which best practices are mapped against general standards. The general standards are supported by 304 aggregate “Best of the Best” practices as observed and identified at subject shipyards.
