Objective:
The goal of this project is to identify areas where interface standardization could significantly reduce cost and schedule for ship design, construction, and modernization. This project will demonstrate application of the commercial paradigm for defining standardized interfaces in a ship warfare system context, abstract a standardized definition for selected warfare system interfaces, addressing both current and anticipated future needs, and promote focused discussion and exchange of ideas to ultimately address all pertinent interface elements reducing both cost and schedule.
