Objective:
This project conducted a review of domestic regulatory requirements and standards for rigging within and outside the shipbuilding industry and supported the development of a domestic ship production rigging planning guide. The goal is to provide some of the necessary material to create a knowledgeable rigging engineering workforce. The main guidance produced was in three parts: Lift Check Sheet, Approach Lift Guidance, and Rigging Lift Common Component Catalog.
