Objective:
Digital planning tools are allowing shipyard planners to develop, analyze and maintain production plans earlier in the design cycle and in higher detail than was previously possible or cost effective. This project developed a tool that supports work order breakdown (content, time, and cost) by calculating shipyard-specified product and production processes from CAD designs. This allows for improving the accuracy while reducing the time and cost associated with the estimating process.
