Materials for Exterior Electrical Connections and Sealing: Phase 2 (2015-421)
- Ingalls Shipbuilding
- D'Angelo Technologies, LLC
NSRP ASE Investment: $150K
Subsequent to successfully completing the original “Materials for Exterior Electrical Connections and Sealing” project, the next phase will build on the success achieved in the initial panel project and further develop solutions for improved Electro-Magnetic Pulse (EMP) protection on U.S. Navy surface ships. The goals of the phase 2 project are to leverage the findings from the earlier project regarding improvements to exterior sealing of swage tubes as well as improvements to class B bonds made in challenging marine exterior environment. This will result in better lifecycle performance of EMP protection and reduce total ownership cost and improve ship survivability.
