Objective:
Subsequent to successfully completing the original “Materials for Exterior Electrical Connections and Sealing” project, this project sought to build on the success achieved in the initial panel project and further develop solutions for improved Electro-Magnetic Pulse (EMP) protection on U.S. Navy surface ships. The goals of the Phase 2 project were to leverage the findings from the earlier project regarding improvements to exterior sealing of swage tubes as well as improvements to class B bonds made in challenging marine exterior environment.
