Project Summary

CAR-W is a new technology pioneered by Wolf Robotics and the NSRP project team that automates robot programming for welding applications.  This powerful system simplifies the complexities of robotic path planning and makes programming easy.

This follow-on project to the original, and highly successful CAR-W project, seeks to provide the same time-saving techniques to multi-pass robotic welding systems used in heavy fabrication.  These new additions to the CAR-W feature set allow robotic systems to be rapidly programmed for large, complex, parts including heavy beveled plate components common in the production of heavy ship classes.

This innovative, versatile, and highly cost-effective approach enables robots to produce low-volume or even “one-off” assemblies where automation was previously cost-prohibitive.

CAR-W now makes it possible to generate accurate, collision-free robotic welding routines in minutes… regardless of part complexity.
