2011
NSRP ASE Investment: $100K
Objective:
The objective of this project was to ensure that the U.S. EPA had an accurate, up-to-date profile of welding conducted within shipyards, and to support the development of a sustainable EF program for the Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Industry. Information regarding shipyard welding operations was provided to the EPA to ensure accurate representation in future rulemaking decisions. Under this project, Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) demonstrated and evaluated the U.S. EPA’s proposed WebFIRE program using NSRP generated data representing emissions from electric arc welding processes.
