ASE_906001 "Ship
Structure Neutral Model Interpreter Guide"
This document frames the AUTOGEN Ship Structure Neutral Model, its data
arrays, rules sets and functional processes. It describes attributing the Model with the means and intent of ship
manufacture; limited to the fabrication, assemblage and weld joining of structure panel products. Available to
the U. S. Shipbuilding Industry. If you would like to request a copy, please provide your company name, complete mailing
address and phone number.

ASE_906002 "Rules to
Partition Weld Tasks"
This document contains weld classification, partitioning and concatenation; rules to
partition weld task into individual segments and transition regions; and rules
for concatenation of individual weld segments and transition regions. Available to the U. S. Shipbuilding
Industry. If you would like to request a copy, please provide your company name, complete mailing
address and phone number. Request deliverable
ASE_906003 "Develop Torch Manipulation Strategies"
This
report discusses AUTOGEN's torch manipulation strategies based on control of
seven variables in relation to the workpiece weld joints. Available to the U. S. Shipbuilding Industry. If you would like to request a copy, please provide your company name, complete mailing
address and phone number. Request deliverable
ASE_906004 "Automated Planning of Individual Welds for a Single
Robot"
This
report documents the project's completion of the task of automating off line
planning of individual welds for a single robot, including design of manipulator
joint trajectories, by coupling the inverse mechanics solution to the
abstraction of ship structure and the abstraction of welding tasks. Available to the U. S.
Shipyards. If you would like to request a copy, please provide your company name, complete mailing
address and phone number. Request deliverable
ASE_906005 "Verification and Validation Testing"
This
report documents the required verification and validation tests of the
functionality added to AutoGen by the Tasks in work Phase 5. The purpose of the
tests is verification of accurate torch position and pose against work features
placed carefully from the fiducial marks; presented both directly and
reflexively. The tests also validate that
previously proved functionality continues to perform correctly with the new code
in place. Available to the U. S. Shipyards. If you would like to request a copy, please provide your company name, complete mailing
address and phone number. Request deliverable.
ASE_906006 "Summary Technical Report"
AUTOGEN is
software that automates planning and compiling of control programs for robotic
welding of ship structures. The software works by evaluating the geometric
context of computer representations of ship designs and manufacturing plans.
This summary report provides an account of work accomplished and details of the
extent of offline programming automation achieved.
It also discusses the economic consequences of investing in a large multiple
manipulator robot welding system driven by control programs generated by
AUTOGEN. Available to the U. S. Shipyards. If you would like to request a copy, please provide your company name, complete mailing
address and phone number. Request deliverable.
