For projects funded since 1999, each that has available information will include a link(s) to either download theinformation directly or to request the information. Note that many reports have restricted distribution (e.g. U.S. shipyards only).
About the Document Center...
The National Shipbuilding Research Program Document Center provides access to a variety of technical and non-technical information related to ship design and production research and applications. In May 2005, the contents of the Documentation Center, as well as presentations and minutes from Panel meetings held prior to 2005 were provided to the Navy for posting on the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC). Small publicly available documents may be downloaded free of charge, however, there is a fee for some larger sized files as well as private documents.
Additionally, each Major Initiative Team Leader, Assistant Leader and Panel Chair has been provided the entire Doc Center and Panel information on a searchable DVD ROM for distribution within their respective shipyard and/or Panel membership. Contact info for these team members is posted on this website.
Documentaton Center Holdings include:
- All reports produced under the auspices of the National Shipbuilding Research Program (NSRP) from 1973 through 2004. (Note reports since 1999 are also available on the NSRP site)
- Presentations and minutes from Ship Production Panel meetings through 2004.
- SNAME Ship Production Symposia papers (events also affiliated with the NSRP).
- REAPS and IREAPS technical meeting papers (these meetings were the precursors to the Ship Production Symposia).
- Miscellaneous documents from other sources.
Panel Meeting Information
Presentations/minutes from all Ship Production Panel Meetings held after January 1, 2005 will continue to be hosted on this website.
